House Leaders
From Reception to Year 6 every child at Savile Park is part of a school house team, the teams are Sapphires, Diamonds, Rubies and Emeralds. Each term the winning house team all take part in a treat as celebration for all their hard work.
We often use the house teams when grouping children for different activities and for sporting competitions.
In upper key stage 2 the role of House and Vice House Captains are ones of privilege, pride and responsibility. They are more than just a title and badge and require dedication and commitment for an entire year. The children have to write a speech that they then read out to their chosen houses.
House Captains and Vice Captains are expected to set an example to younger children, to embody the values that the school holds dear and to contribute to the wider school community.
They help the younger children, both in the dinner hall and playtimes. They play pivotal roles in special days and themed weeks, assisting staff in the planned activities.
They also help with open days and curriculum evenings. One of their favourite jobs is showing visitors around our wonderful school.
Each year we have four House Captains and four Vice Captains at each site. They lead our named houses in the challenge to collect house points.
