Headteacher: Mrs J Boylan
World Book Day
The author and poet, Conrad Burdekin visited Savile Park for a third time on Wednesday 28th March to share his stories and poems. He visited several classes across the school, inspiring children with his enthusiasm and zany ideas. He left each class with lots of ideas for stories which they continued to write over the Easter break. Prizes will be awarded for the best stories.
On Thursday 29th March the children enjoyed dressing up as book characters. We had pirates, monsters, rabbits, cats in hats, Dalmatian dogs, Cruella de Ville, several Harry Potters, a few superheroes and even an Emmeline Pankhurst, suffragette. The dressing up day was part of our effort to raise money for the Book Aid charity which provides books for children around the world. We would be grateful of any donations to add to our collection for Book Aid.
