Making a choice about primary schools is one of the most important decisions that you will ever undertake for your child. I fully understand how daunting that decision can be. It is therefore my pleasure to share with you what is special about Savile Park Primary School and support you in making your choice.
We are a two form entry primary school, split across two sites; each building accommodating Reception to Year six.
Our Moorfield site is a purpose built facility opened in 2004, which provides a fantastic facility for learning. It benefits from a large computing/library area, community room and from 2020 a new sensory space.
Our Heath site is located in the beautiful grade two listed former grammar school building on Free School Lane. It has a number of exciting learning environments including a large library area, a wildlife garden and a versatile learning space for science, design technology, art and cookery.
Both of our sites provide opportunities to enhance and stimulate a love of learning outside the classroom environment. These are regularly used by classes, collaborating together, from both our sites.
Savile Park Primary School is a vibrant, innovative and inclusive two entry school at the heart of our local community. Our two sites are nestled in Halifax, a stone’s throw from Savile Park, Manor Heath Park and Calder Valley, The School boasts a spacious environment on it’s doorstep. Our grounds provide exceptional outdoor learning environments in an extremely busy and built up part of the town.
Our dedicated and talented team of staff are passionate about providing an engaging curriculum through a wide range of stimulating and creative learning experiences.
We have high expectations for all children and believe in nurturing a child’s natural curiosity and creating in them a life-long love of learning. We provide a caring and supportive environment for our children to thrive and for our parents to feel valued as part of our school community.
Parents play a vital role in supporting our school; those past and present are clear that the most important factors of life at Savile Park are that we radiate a welcoming and friendly ethos, that their children love coming to school and that they are encouraged to learn in a supportive yet challenging environment. At Savile Park Primary School, parents are actively encouraged to get involved in the education of their children, whether it is through helping with reading or joining our active parent child workshops. Our Governing Body also plays a crucial and valued role in the life of our school. However, our true strength is our children. They are the key to the success of Savile Park and make it a very special place to learn.
I am immensely proud of our children and our community. Please pay us a visit – it would be my pleasure to show you around our fabulous school.
