Headteacher: Mrs J Boylan
Science is an essential part of the school curriculum as it provides children with transferable skills, helps them to understand the world around them and develops curious minds. Through studying science, children will learn problem solving, analysis and how to work as part of a team.
At Savile Park Primary school, science is taught through a range of different types of scientific investigation which enable children to answer scientific questions and to understand scientific processes. Learning is engaging and frequently takes place through practical activities (including outdoor learning) which build on prior knowledge and experience. Children are encouraged to investigate, explore and discuss ideas and concepts using key vocabulary.
