SEND Information

All staff and children support and celebrate difference and diversity, with a vision of promoting equality and opportunity for all and the respect of others. This is reflected through both our school Ethos and Values.

All maintained schools in Calderdale have a similar approach to meeting the needs of children with Special Educational Needs. We are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all children, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. All schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, and the needs of children with a Special Educational Need or Disability (SEN-D) are met in a mainstream setting, whenever possible, if it is the family’s preference.

If your child has special educational needs or if your child may need additional support in school, but does not have an education, health and care plan (EHCP stands for Education, Health and Care Plan. It outlines any special educational needs a child has, and the provision a local authority must put in place to help them.), please contact the school for more details.
